Michael Reeder has spent his career honing his skills in the courtroom, with lead roles in all phases of litigation in both federal and state courts across the nation.

Michael has represented all types of companies in litigation and commercial transactions, ranging from start-up GPS navigation companies in Silicon Valley, dairy breeders in Iowa, telecommunications companies in Washington and New York, and energy companies in Houston.

He understands, however, that his clients’ objectives are often handled best through agreement without court intervention, and Michael is known for his calm demeanor and strong advocacy both in and out of the courtroom.

He uses his electrical engineering background to understand technologies in a broad array of industries covering oilfield services technologies, electronics and software, microprocessor systems and architectures, and biomedical and life sciences.

Michael spent more than a decade at the international law firm of Akin Gump, where he was actively involved in providing pro bono legal services, and he continues to cultivate a culture of excellence in serving pro bono clients. Michael was recognized by the Asian Law Caucus for his work in representing an immigrant from Sri Lanka who sought asylum in the United States because of life-threatening torture from guerrilla organizations and the Sri Lankan government.

Over the years, Michael has built a reputation as a principled and dedicated litigator on behalf of his clients.
