Jason Muriby is an experienced litigator with a technical background. A former engineer turned lawyer, Jason is meticulous, driven, and applies a problem-solving approach to his practice to help navigate clients embroiled in complex disputes through the discovery process and trial. 

After clerking for the Supreme Court of Texas, Jason spent several years at an international law firm representing companies involved in high-stakes business and patent disputes. He also spent several years at boutique law firms representing smaller companies and individuals seeking to recover damages or defend their interests. Prior to law school, Jason worked for a semiconductor company designing analog circuits for communications and microcontroller chips, and he contributed to the design of nine patents. With his broad range of practical and legal experience, Jason has the skill and passion for understanding and litigating technology-based legal disputes.

  • Represented oil and gas company in patent infringement and Lanham Act lawsuit related to proprietary exploration technology 
  • Represented paper company through trial in breach of contract and fraud lawsuit brought by a construction contractor 
  • Represented oil and gas company through trial before an arbitration panel in coverage dispute related to refinery damage 
  • Represented company through trial in environmental dispute with local government 
  • Represented insurance company in Rule 23 class action for breach of contract and breach of fiduciary duty related to annuity contracts 
  • Represented small business through mediation in coverage dispute related to damage from Hurricane Harvey  
  • Represented parents and child as lead counsel at trial involving premises liability claim
